Our Choises

At La Cave à Laine we choose everything very carefully, from fabric to thread, to yarn, with the future of our world in mind: minimum waste, all natural, no animal derivates.

Our products are made only with cotton and/or linen, from thread to fabric.

There is no interfacing or plastic involved.

All our fabric comes from ethical sources within the European Community.

We use three types of fabric:

- 100% organic cotton, hand-dyed with fiber reactive dye in our Atelier in Alsace, France.

- 100% cotton or a mix of cotton and linen, hand-printed and/or hand-dyed in our Atelier in Alsace, France.

- 100% cotton or a mix of cotton and linen, specially printed for us in Germany. 

We use only one kind of thread: 100% cotton.

All handles are made of 100% cotton webbing.

The draw-sting cord used on some bags is 100% cotton.

All the gears we use to complement our bags are metal.

Even our labels are made of 100% woven cotton, made in the European Union.
