How to organise your knitting projects
How do you organise your knitting projects?
Do you have them in despicable plastic bags all over the house? Shoved together in one big drawer so you can forget about them?
Let’s discover how to keep your projects organised and some ideas for organising projects based on their size and where you usually knit.
Let’s begin by thinking about some basic questions.
Which kind of knitter are you?
- Do you work on a single project at the time? Once the current one is finished you start a new one?
- Or do you work on multiple projects at the same time, depending on your mood and where you knit?
Where do you like to knit?
-
On the go?
-
On public transports, while commuting to work?
-
At home, on the couch or on your favourite armchair?
-
When you go on holiday?
-
Walking?
What do you like to knit?
-
Small projects like socks and shawls?
-
Larger projects like sweaters?
-
Do you like multi colour projects involving more than 1 ball at the same time?
-
Do you like to have more than one project with you? Maybe a small intricate one and a big one where you just have to mindlessly knit?
You have probably answered yes to all this questions, no doubt. We are all in the same place!
So, instead of stashing all this projects in shabby and miserable plastic bags, against nature and horrible to look at, why not choose the perfect project bags for you, fitting all your different needs?
I personally own various project bags for knitting (as I make them), so I can store different on-going projects in different places, and I can just grab one from the couch or the armchair or the entrance bench, and go on an adventure at any time! Or shovel the project bag in a suitcase, ready to board a plane or a train with me.
Project bags are the perfect companion for your knitting and if you knit multiple projects at the same time, you will need several, to store each project in a bag.
