Chinotto is one of my favourite carbonated soft drinks. So difficult to find outside Italy, and considered in Italy as old fashioned, it remains my first choice, always!
Chinotto is a kind of bitter orange that grows primarily in Liguria, a seaside region in northwestern Italy. With it they make this drink similar in color to a Coca-Cola, but with a completely different taste and aroma.
The mosaic stitch in this hat reminds me of a glass filling up with Chinotto, with white bubble on top.
If you have never worked a mosaic pattern, do not worry: it’s fun and easy!
This particular pattern is simple to memorise and a joy to knit.
