Since I began knitting shawls I have always dreamed of a green shawl with a branched middle that ends in a full border of lace. And here it is!
This shawl is enjoyably simple and require a minimum attention. The lace central panel is easy to remember, and by the time you reach the border you will know it by heart!
Features This pattern features:
Yarn Approx 100 g , 488 m / 490 yd any light fingering-weight yarn Sample is knit in: Manos del Uruguay Fino, 70% Wool - Merino, 30% Silk, colorway Velvet Pincushion
Needles 4 mm (US size 6), 150 cm / 60” circular needles, or size to obtain correct gauge. For the bind-off you will also need a 4.5 mm (US size 7)
Gauge 19 sts and 32 rows over 10cm / 4” in garter stitch, severely wet-blocked. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it will determine yarn usage and final measurements
Skills Needed Cast on, knitting, basic increases and decreases
